This is a home based role, with a part time level of effort set at 75% which equals to 30 working hours/week. The position is open until 6 March 2024 but i MMAP Inc. will proceed with interviewing suitable and available candidates on a rolling basis and could close the hiring process before the set date if a suitable and competent candidate is identified. Position Overview The Assessments and Analysis Advisor will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and technical expertise in assessments, analysis, and research methodologies within i MMAP Inc. This role involves leading and coordinating proposals, donor engagement and potential project opportunities in regards to assessments and analysis, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance the organization's internal capacities in regards to assessments and analysis. Description of Duties Under the direct supervision of the Business Development, Impact and Partnerships Director and in close collaboration with other HQ teams and colleagues, including our Country Office personnel, the incumbent shall be responsible for: Acting as UNDAC's Assessments and Analysis Cell (A&A Cell) focal point, on behalf of i MMAP Inc. and to be available for emergency deployment missions on behalf of i MMAP Inc. in support to UNDAC activations; Engaging with the DEEP (https://thedeep.io/) Governance Board, on behalf of i MMAP Inc. Representing i MMAP Inc. in various Inter Agency forums, conferences, technical working groups and events pertaining needs assessments and analysis; Leading i MMAP Inc.'s internal Business Development and Partnerships efforts in regards to needs assessments and analysis which shall include: Partnerships engagement with A&A stakeholders and donors; Internal coordination with Desk Coordinators and Country Representatives and provide advisory support in regards to needs assessments and analysis, when and if required; Positioning i MMAP Inc. as a leading Organization in the spheres of needs assessments and analysis; Providing technical advisory and support, including capacity building efforts for ongoing and future projects related to needs assessments and analysis within i MMAP Inc.; Providing technical advisory and expert judgement in regards to suitability of tools and software solutions, including eventual and potential tech development recommendations around needs assessments and analysis in close coordination and consultation with our Global Tech Team at i MMAP Inc. led by the Director of Strategic Planning, Technology and Innovation. Education and Experience Education University Degree in international relations, humanitarian and development, sociology, business management, statistics, economics and/or related fields or more than 10 years of professional working experience in the field of humanitarian Needs Assessments and Analysis in lieu of a University Degree. Experience At least 10 years of demonstrated working experience in needs assessments and analysis. At least 10 years of demonstrated working experience with humanitarian and/or development programming. Vast demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of needs assessments methodologies and approaches. Vast demonstrated experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of analytical outputs, based on structured analytical techniques. Strong technical background in needs assessments and analysis, and demonstrated experience in digital and innovative analytical approaches, including data collection methods. Strong knowledge of analytical frameworks and implementing those at scale, including training efforts for various audiences, partners and stakeholders. Strong knowledge of humanitarian and/or development needs assessments and analysis practices, including frameworks, methodologies and standards agreed at the Inter Agency (IASC) levels, such as JIAF 2.0. Knowledge of the DEEP (https://thedeep.io/). Has demonstrated experience and track record in training various audiences in methodologies and approaches related to needs assessments and analysis. Strong knowledge of the Humanitarian Programme Cycle and Cluster Approach. Experience in three, or more, of these programmatic and sectoral areas: Food security and Livelihoods Health WASHEducation Protection Cash transfer CEAOther Requirements Displays cultural, geographical, gender, religion, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability. Presents information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Adapts level of language and/or complexity of content to audience. Proficient English and French writing skills. Independent, flexible and pro-active professional. Understands and masters quickly the context and the environment of work. Effectively manages own work related to multiple tasks or activities and is independently able to prioritise amongst tasks. Is a problem solver and solution finder. Actively seeks information and opinions of the client to understand their requests and requirements and is able to identify their needs and expectations. Is able to explain clearly and professionally the rationale for decisions/outcomes to the client. Excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners. Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities. Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view. IT Skills Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of analytical outputs. Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software solutions. Skills in one of these data management software is valued: STATA; Epi-Info; SPSS; ENA; NVivo; ATLAS.ti; R; KOBO; Survey CTO. Strong experience and expertise of the Microsoft Office 365 suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point etc.). Languages Strong advanced and demonstrated working and professional knowledge (written and oral) of English is mandatory; Strong advanced and demonstrated working and professional knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Arabic is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
