LIGENTEC is a fast-growing European company with headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since 2021 we expanded our manufacturing capabilities by creating LIGENTEC France, in the South of Paris. We specialize in the design & manufacturing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies, and Biosensors. LIGENTEC All-Nitride (AN) technology enables our customers to develop their products in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. You are about to enter this unique opportunity to bring R&D to product. To support our continued growth, we are looking for a: **Application Sales Engineer** The purpose of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience by offering pre- and post-sales technical support, strengthen the sales team, technical marketing and business development. Tasks Cultivating positive customer relationships and being the customer interface Translate customer needs into workable solutions. Discuss and define SoW with customers, prospects and project partners Provide technical customer support during the whole sales cycle from pre-sales to after-sales. Manage the sales pipeline in CRM, and achieve sales targets. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and R&D, to develop tailored solutions for clients. Contribute to the marketing strategy with content and activities (talks, application notes, press releases, webinars, etc.) Understand and analyse market trends and requirements Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and project partners Requirements Highly customer and solution-oriented mindset. 3+ years experience in integrated optics or PhD in integrated optics Industry experience of 3+ years in technical sales, application engineering or similar role preferred Proven track record of meeting sales targets in technical environment Previous customer interaction Ability to translate customer wishes to clear specifications Hands-on experience with integrated photonics software tools is a plus Excellent technical problem-solving skills Open minded, communicative, critical, and innovative Flexible in working on different tasks and with different teams Ability to work in a team and independently. Working proficiency in English.
